"You dont come to this restaurant for the service nor the atmosphere but really for the quality of the food The highlight was the char siu and the roast goose leg The egg and prawns was also well made I have to say the char siu was the best"

"Good food, yummy ChaSiu and suckling pig was crispy. One portion of the two ordered roasted goose leg combination with ChaSiu was a bit too fatty (much white fat under the skin). Well some would say it is juicy xD Both were tasty. The Service was good Thank you very much, would come again."

"We had such a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant and would definitely give it 5 stars. From the moment we walked in, the staff were very hospitable and attentive, making us feel welcome and comfortable right away even with 3 toddlers with us. The service was also impressively fast without feeling rushed, which really elevated the whole meal. The food was absolutely outstanding. The goose was a highlight — it was our first time trying it, and it completely exceeded our expectations. It was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The braised pork belly was another big hit at the table, with beautifully tender meat and a delicious, deep flavor. The tofu with pork was also a family favorite, comforting, well‑seasoned, and just right for sharing. Every dish we tried was excellent, and you could tell the kitchen really cares about quality. We enjoyed it so much that we actually came back here twice during our short few‑day trip to Hong Kong, which says a lot because we usually like to try different places. If you’re in the area and want great food, warm service, and a memorable meal, this is one restaurant you should not miss. Highly recommended!"

"#Yung's Tangerine Peel Roast Goose: A Must-Try for Goose Lovers While this restaurant has branches in Tsim Sha Tsui and Wan Chai, I highly recommend the Yau Ma Tei branch. It boasts better reviews, is easier to find a seat during lunch, and can accommodate both couples and larger groups with big tables. My Honest Verdict They are also famous for their "Gold Medal Traditional Char Siu," but to be honest, I know another spot that does it better (stay tuned for that hidden gem in my next post!). However, having tried many Michelin-starred and guide-book-famous goose shops, Yung’s Tangerine Peel Roast Goose is currently my #1 pick. (I’ll share my #2 and #3 budget-friendly favorites soon!) What to Order: Roast Goose Drumstick (Upper Part): If you want the full experience—meaty, tender, and loaded with crispy skin—go for this. Roast Goose with Rice: The best option for solo travelers or those on a budget. Suckling Pig: Made from piglets aged 2–6 weeks. The skin is incredibly crispy and delicious. A must-try! Char Siu (BBQ Pork): Very tender, but the caramelization is a bit light for my taste. Roast Pork (Siu Yuk): Honestly? Skip it. However, the honey-mustard dipping sauce they serve with it is excellent. Location & How to Get There: Branch: Yau Ma Tei (Recommended for fewer crowds) Directions: Take the MTR to Yau Ma Tei Station, Exit B2. Turn right at the exit and walk to the intersection (no need to cross the street). Turn right again onto Portland Street. The restaurant is less than 100 meters away. Guaranteed delicious!"

"Great food and very friendly staff. Bring cash, an octopus card or Alipay/wechat, they don't take credit card! Solo diners are seated together which is normal and to be expected in HK."

"We kept coming back, both for dine-in and take-outs. Both the roasted goose and white cut chicken with ginger oil are worth every single calories."

"Afternoon sessions are available on weekends too, which is a nice bonus. At this price point, there’s really nothing to complain about. Portions are generous, and the flavors are satisfying. Despite the crowd, the staff remain friendly and impressively efficient. The signature roasted goose is flavorful—though the skin isn’t quite as crispy as expected, it’s still a solid choice. Revisited again but disappointed. The paper like skin turned out to be a thick layer of fat, apparently not my favourite. Be sustainable in quality is the only way to have return customers."
